We can help. As an employee, you probably possess a unique set of skills that makes you stand out on the job. But is your resume standing out like your skills? We have seen a massive shift in the job economy over the past year or two. Employers are getting flooded with resumes with all different types of qualifications. You know that there are many companies that would benefit if they would hire you. The problem is that they don’t know you exist, even if you are the best candidate for the job. Keep reading and we will let you know how we can help you change your odds of getting a different job.
Late nights on the computer…
We know that you have probably spent countless hours sending out your resume and chasing dead-end postings. How many times have you found the perfect job, spent time getting your resume together, only to find out that the job was just filled, but your resume will go in a file for future calls? The problem all starts with the process. What would you do if you paid a large fee for the right to post unlimited jobs or perform unlimited searches? You would probably want to maximize your investment and load your database with resumes for future needs.
The current process…
Did you know that most businesses and recruiters post a job opportunity as a last option? When a business posts a job, they pay a lot of money, get back hundreds unqualified resumes, and waste lots of time trying to sift through a large pile of paper. If you are a skilled employee, then you can only hope that your resume is near the top of the pile or you are not likely to be discovered. Therefore, searching is a better option for businesses. The problem lies with the search. Let’s pick a keyword like ‘nurse’. If you do a standard keyword search in a particular city, then you are going to return all nurses in that city. Additionally you are going to return anyone who mentioned ‘nurse’ in their resume. Even the person that said ‘I am training to be a nurse’ or ‘My goal is to be a nurse’ or ‘I have been a nurse for 15 years’. The last candidate is the obvious match. However, digging through 400 or 500 resumes returned from a search to find the one with the experience the business needs is very time consuming and there is a potential to overlook great candidates.

Welcome to SkillSniper.com – the company that focuses on your true skills. Ask any hiring manager – it is your skills that they are after, not how well you wrote your resume. Most importantly, how much experience do you have with all of the above? We offer all of the standard functionality you are used to seeing, but we take it many steps further to give you the best chance of getting your skills noticed. And, of course, we don’t charge you anything. You should never have to pay for the potential of getting a job. You bring the skills and we bring the businesses.
The nuts and bolts… We maintain a lot of information in our database and present it to you in a unique way. We allow you to search by keywords or by hierarchy. Below is a sample section to show you the basic layout. These are taken from the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) section, however, it is basically presented the same way across all industries.
You start by finding your area of expertise. Sometimes it helps to do a keyword search to find where your skills are located in the hierarchy listings. Then, quickly drill down and find what you are looking for.
Drilling down into your area of expertise, you will find the actual skills. However, we don’t stop there. We also let you select years of experience and your level of expertise. This will help you stand out from others.
